Fattoria Community Foundation is dedicated to improving food access and security for our local community. Each of our Board Members is passionate about our mission and prioritizing local agriculture in our community, fostering resilience and sustainability for future generations.
Joe Raineri, Executive Director and Chairman
Joe Raineri is a seasoned entrepreneur and regenerative farmer with a deep commitment to sustainable agriculture and local food systems. For the past eight years, he has operated Terra Amico Farms, a certified organic farm in San Martin, California, growing over 60 varieties of heirloom tomatoes. Through regenerative farming practices, Joe prioritizes soil health, biodiversity, and environmentally responsible food production.
In addition to farming, Joe has successfully founded and operated multiple businesses, bringing a strong background in business development and community engagement. He has built lasting relationships with farmers, ranchers, and key community stakeholders, fostering collaboration to strengthen the local food economy. Joe is also dedicated to education and advocacy, regularly hosting on-farm events that teach the community about sustainable agriculture and the health and economic benefits of locally produced food.
His extensive experience in business, agriculture, and community-building positions him as a leader in developing innovative solutions to support small and mid-sized farms, increase food access, and drive economic opportunities for local producers.
Zack Andrade – Board Member
Zack Andrade is a second-generation organic farmer and the owner of Spinaca Farms, where he has built a successful business growing, packing, and distributing fresh market produce to major buyers across the U.S. With extensive experience in all aspects of the fresh produce industry, Zack is deeply committed to advancing sustainable agriculture and reducing food waste.
In addition to his work at Spinaca Farms, Zack is the founder of Boom-Veg, an innovative company that transforms farm surplus and overlooked parts of produce into nutrient-rich organic powders used by food producers worldwide. His expertise in farming, distribution, and value-added food production makes him a key advocate for strengthening local food systems and supporting small and mid-sized growers. As a board member of Fattoria Community Foundation, Zack brings valuable industry knowledge and a passion for sustainable solutions that benefit farmers, consumers, and the environment.
Tim Herlihy, Board Member
Tim Herlihy is the founder and president of Creative Manufacturing Solutions (CMS), a precision sheet metal fabrication company based in Morgan Hill, California. With over 20 years of experience in the sheet metal manufacturing industry, Tim established CMS in 2006, leveraging his extensive industry knowledge to build a company renowned for delivering high-quality fabricated sheet metal products.
Under Tim's leadership, CMS has grown significantly, now operating a 50,000-square-foot manufacturing facility that serves prominent technology companies, including Jabil, Tesla, Facebook, and Johnson & Johnson. The facility offers comprehensive services such as design, CNC punching, laser cutting, forming, welding, in-house powder coating, and assembly, employing a team of 40 skilled professionals.
Tim's commitment to innovation is evident in CMS's recent investment in advanced quoting and estimating technologies, enhancing operational efficiency and expanding into new markets.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Tim is actively involved in the community. He serves as a board member for the Fattoria Community Foundation, contributing his expertise to support local agricultural initiatives. Additionally, he is a member of the Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, demonstrating his dedication to regional economic development and community engagement.
Tim's leadership at CMS and his active participation in community organizations reflect his commitment to excellence in manufacturing and his dedication to fostering strong community relationships.
Mary Anne Groen, Board Member,
Mary Anne Groen is a dedicated public affairs professional with extensive experience in government, community engagement, and policy development. She has worked closely with elected officials, business leaders, and nonprofit organizations to drive initiatives that support economic development, sustainability, and community well-being.
As a Fattoria Community Foundation board member, Mary Anne brings valuable expertise in navigating government processes, building strategic partnerships, and advocating for policies that benefit small and mid-sized farmers, food producers, and local food systems. Her deep understanding of public policy and community relations strengthens the foundation’s efforts to expand food access, promote sustainable agriculture, and create economic opportunities for regional farmers and food businesses.

James Knopf, Board Member, Fattoria Community Foundation
James Knopf is an accomplished attorney with extensive experience in business law, real estate, and agricultural policy. As a trusted legal advisor, he has worked with businesses, property owners, and community organizations to navigate complex regulatory and contractual matters. His expertise in land use, permitting, and compliance makes him a valuable advocate for sustainable agriculture and local food systems.
As a Fattoria Community Foundation board member, James brings a deep understanding of the legal and policy challenges facing small and mid-sized farms, food hubs, and agribusinesses. His guidance helps ensure that the foundation’s initiatives align with local, state, and federal regulations, while also protecting the interests of farmers and food producers. With a passion for strengthening the regional food economy, James is committed to advancing the foundation’s mission of supporting sustainable agriculture, increasing food access, and creating economic opportunities for local producers.
29 years experience as a lawyer with extensive experience in organizational work for startup companies, real estate, construction and environmental law.
Additionally, we have assembled a strong team of collaborators including the University of Cooperative Extension (UCCE) for farming technical and regulatory support, Multistudio for architecture and design, BASE Landscape Architecture, and various technical consultants with expertise in food systems and sustainable agriculture.
